Most commercial rolling tobacco goes through heavy processing — steam treatment, glycerine injection, reconstituted sheet blending. The result burns hot, tastes synthetic, and leaves residue on your fingers.

Ounce28 takes a different path. Our leaf is air-cured and shade-dried using traditional methods practised for generations. No glycerine. No humectants. No flavour additives. Just the leaf.

The Chemistry of a Clean Burn

When tobacco contains glycerine, it burns hotter because glycerine has a lower combustion point than the leaf itself. This creates an uneven burn and a harsher smoke. Unprocessed leaf burns at a consistent temperature across the width of the roll, producing an even cherry and a smoother draw.

What You Actually Taste

Strip away the additives and what remains is the actual terroir of the tobacco — earthy, warm, sometimes slightly sweet depending on the curing method. Roll it pure. That's the Ounce28 way.
